Welcome to the home of Forest School at Botley. We believe that the forest is the ultimate classroom—a place where children can connect with nature, take risks, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Inspired by nature pedagogy, we value Teamwork, Resilience, Respect, Inclusivity, Creativity, and Kindness. These values underpin everything we do outdoors.

At our Forest School, we provide a unique blend of outdoor experiences that cultivate creativity, problem-solving, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. Our students engage in hands-on exploration, build confidence through risk-taking, and develop social skills through collaborative play. We encourage teamwork in all our activities, fostering resilience as children face new challenges, and instilling respect for each other and the environment. Our inclusive approach ensures every child feels welcome and supported to explore their creativity and show kindness to others.

Our Forest School programme is designed for children aged 4-11 years old. We offer weekly sessions throughout the academic year, led by experienced and qualified Forest School leaders. Mental Wellbeing: Nature reduces stress and anxiety, providing a calming space for children to reset.
Social Skills: Activities like den-building require teamwork, negotiation, and kindness.
Resilience: Coping with mud, rain, and tricky tasks helps children learn to keep trying when things get tough.
