Botley Brambles Club

Let the wild adventures begin!

We're thrilled to announce that our special "pop-up" Forest School After-School Club is coming back to Botley School for 2025! This exciting programme offers a unique opportunity for children to connect with nature, learn new skills, and unleash their creativity, all within the familiar environment of their school grounds.

Embrace Nature Pedagogy:

Our Forest School programme is built on the principles of nature pedagogy, an approach that values direct experiences in nature as a powerful tool for learning and development. Children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and discover at their own pace, fostering a love for the outdoors and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

What exciting activities await your child?

  • Nature exploration: Discover the hidden wonders of the school grounds, identify plants and animals, and build shelters using natural materials.
  • Experienced and passionate instructors: Hosted by Mr Evans-Lee, a Level 3 Forest School practitioner, and Mrs Preto Pires. Both are trained in First Aid and dedicated to providing a safe and enriching experience.
  • Hands-on skills: Learn to use tools safely, build fires, and create nature-inspired crafts.
  • Creative play: Engage in imaginative games, build fairy houses, and tell stories inspired by the natural world.
  • Teamwork and problem-solving: Work together to overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop social skills.

Why choose our Forest School?

  • Convenient and accessible: Held right at Botley School, making it easy for your child to participate.
  • Experienced and passionate instructors: Our qualified Forest School leaders will guide and inspire your child's learning journey.
  • Fun and engaging activities: Designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and foster a love for nature.
  • Limited-time opportunity: Don't miss out on this unique chance to experience the magic of Forest School!

Important Information for Botley Brambles Attendees:

  • Collection: All children attending Botley Brambles need to be collected from the school side door at 17:30.
  • Playground Access: Please do not enter the playground, as this encourages the children to run to you, and we cannot check them out of the club to hand them over to you.
  • Essential Information: Upon signing up your child for Botley Brambles, you should have received a form to complete via MCAS which details who is collecting your child and their emergency contact details.
  • Your child will not be allowed to attend if we do not have this information before the session begins.
