Year 6 SATs Revision and Support

Welcome, Year 6 Students and Parents!

We understand that SATs can feel a bit daunting, but remember, you've all worked incredibly hard and should be proud of your progress. This page is designed to provide you with resources and support to help you feel confident and prepared for the upcoming tests.

Key Test Dates:

• Monday, 12th May:
  • Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG)
• Tuesday, 13th May:
  • Reading
• Wednesday, 14th May:
  • Mathematics: Arithmetic
  • Mathematics: Reasoning Paper 1
• Thursday, 15th May:
  • Mathematics: Reasoning Paper 2

Other Revision Resources

Maths

• BBC maths - very simple maths, goes back to the very first steps needed.
• OAK Academy - lots of information and lots of lessons that are taught slowly (by teachers), may use some key vocabulary that we don't use in Botley School.
• MathsBots - closest website to the Arithmetic test, it gives you new questions each time you try - it will give you the correct answer but not the calculations

English

• BBC Reading and SPaG - very simple English, goes back to the very first steps and covers some of the key vocabulary needed.
• OAK Academy - lots of information and lots of lessons that are taught slowly (by teachers), it is worth looking at the previous years grammar lessons as year 6 check to see if you know everything.
• Everyschool Reading Comprehension - some good interactive activities to improve your knowledge of reading.
• Everyschool Punctuation Games - a range of different punctuation games to learn about how to use each type of punctuation for both the SATs and your writing.
