Key Stage 1 Pupils (Reception, Year 1, and Year 2)

All pupils in Key Stage 1 are entitled to a free school meal. However, it is still important to check if your child is eligible for Free School Meals based on your circumstances, as this ensures the school receives extra funding through Pupil Premium. This additional funding (up to £1,320 per eligible child) significantly supports learning and development within the school.

Eligibility for Free School Meals and Pupil Premium:

Your child may be eligible if you receive any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • National Asylum Seekers Support
  • The guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit only (with no element of Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of up to £16,190
  • Working Tax Credit run-on
  • Universal Credit (income dependent)

Your child may also be eligible if they:

  • Have been in local-authority care for one day or more in England or Wales.
  • Have been adopted from care in England or Wales.
  • Have left care under a special guardianship order or residence order in England or Wales.

Please complete the Pupil Premium form to check your eligibility:

You can also speak to us at reception if you would like assistance checking your eligibility.

Key Stage 2 Pupils (Years 3-6):

Key Stage 2 pupils may also be eligible for Free School Meals and Pupil Premium if you receive any of the benefits listed above. Applying is free and could save you money while providing valuable additional funding for the school.
