Uniform Information

School Uniform at Botley School: A Guide for Parents

Wear It With Pride

We encourage all children to wear their school uniform with pride. It fosters a sense of belonging and community at Botley School.

Required Uniform

  • Tops: White polo shirt.

  • Jumpers: Red sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without the school logo).

  • Bottoms: Dark grey or black trousers, skirt, or pinafore dress.

  • Summer Options: Red & white gingham dress or dark grey/black tailored shorts.

  • Footwear: Dark-coloured school shoes (Velcro or buckle preferred for younger children). Trainers are not permitted as daily school shoes.
     

PE Kit

Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school every day.

  • T-Shirt: House Colours T-shirt (Red, Blue, Green, or Yellow).

  • Bottoms: Black shorts, skort, or leggings. (Jogging bottoms for outdoor PE in winter).

  • Footwear: Plimsolls for indoor PE; Trainers for outdoor PE.

  • Safety: Long hair must be tied back. No jewellery is permitted (earrings must be removed, not taped).
     

Forest School Kit

Forest School involves muddy, outdoor play. Please provide old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

  • Tops: Long-sleeved top (jumper/hoodie/long-sleeved T-Shirt) and waterproof coat.

  • Bottoms: Long trousers (joggers/jeans).

  • Footwear: Wellington boots (wellies) or walking boots.

  • Note: No skin-tight leggings or school shoes are allowed in Forest School, Long hair must be tied back.

How to Order

1. Logo Items (Sweatshirts, Book Bags, PE T-shirts) These can be purchased via ParentPay. Orders are placed on the 10th of each month and delivered to school 2-3 weeks later.

2. Basic Items (Trousers, Polos, etc.) Plain uniform items can be purchased from any supermarket or high-street retailer.

3. Pre-Loved Uniform We have a free second-hand uniform bank located in the school entrance. Please help yourself! You can also contact our Family School Link Worker for assistance.

Essential Bags

  • Book Bag: Required for carrying reading books and letters.

  • PE Bag: Drawstring bag to keep kit safe on their peg.
