Physical Education and Sport at Botley School

Please read below for details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant allocation and how we use this funding.

PE at Botley School

All children from Reception to Year 6 participate in PE. Each child is assigned to a coloured team (Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow). These teams are used for intra-school sports events such as Sports Day and phase sports afternoons. We make every effort to place siblings in the same team.

PE Kit

Children are expected to have their PE kit in school every day. This should include:

• Plimsolls, shorts, and a team-coloured t-shirt for indoor PE.
• Jogging bottoms, a sweatshirt, and trainers for outdoor activities.
   

For safety reasons, long hair must be tied back, and jewellery is not permitted during PE. If jewellery must be worn at school, it must be removed for PE lessons.
 

Botley School PE t-shirts are available from the school office for £5 each.

Funding in Physical Education

The PE Sports Premium Grant Report for 2024-25 is in draft form until it is ratified by the Governing Body on October 7th 2025.
