1:1 devices in our classrooms - have your say!
Botley School are currently trialling the use of devices during lessons, and we need the views of our parents and carers to decide whether we will adopt this fully into our classrooms.
In May 2026 we held our first ever ‘live lesson’ where parents, governors and members of the wider Acer Trust were invited to watch a lesson taking place in the school hall. Mr Jones and year 4 were showcasing how we have been trialling the use of 1:1 devices and the 'Showbie' software as tools to support teaching and learning in school. The school invested in a class set of mini-iPads at the start of the year, with the support of Friends of Botley School (FOBS). Since then, all the teachers from year 2 to year 6 have had a chance to trial using the devices to support teaching and learning, with Mr Jones and year 4 leading the way.
