Entering Reception

When you arrive at school, you can enter the Early Years Foundation Stage buildings through the gate to the right of the School office.

This will take you into the Caterpillar garden which leads into the Nursery garden and then into the Reception garden. Here you will find the entrance to the Ladybird class.

Reception Provision

Our school day begins at 8.45am. The children enter the classroom and place their belongings on their pegs and in their drawer before joining the various activities on offer in the classroom. Registration starts at 8.55am where the children choose what they are having for lunch (packed lunch or school dinner).

We have free flow throughout the day where children choose their own learning activities both indoors and outdoors. We have three group times throughout the day which include a phonics and maths session.

Our school day ends at 3.15pm and the children are collected from the classroom.
