Admissions Arrangements at Botley School
If you are interested in a place for your child starting school for the first time at Botley School then please contact us to speak to a member of staff or look out for adverts in the local press about our open afternoons, 'Stay and Play' sessions and parent tours. In order to apply for a place, you will need to complete the application process via the Local Authority, Oxfordshire County Council as they manage all the admissions process on behalf of Botley School.
Reception entry in 2024 will be open to all children born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020. The number of admissions for the academic year commencing 1st September 2024 is 30. Applications should be made via Oxfordshire County Council. The closing date for applications is January 15th 2024. Please contact the Local Authority regarding any late applications.

We are consulting on admissions arrangements, over-subscription criteria and the Published Admission Number for the academic year beginning September 2025. The consultation will run for 6 weeks from December 1 2023 to January 15 2024. The policy was devised in collaboration with other Acer Trust schools and Oxfordshire County Council. The 2021 School Admission Code requires all admissions authorities to consult on any changes proposed to their admissions arrangements.

Previous admissions consultation held for Botley School 2021/2022
The governing Board for Botley School consulted stake holders and the community from November 2021. The Admissions PAN reduction consultation closed in the Spring term 2022. The result of this consultation was a reduction in the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 60 down to 30. This was in response to falling birth rates and numbers of pupil on roll.
