What is the difference between Great Britain and The United Kingdom?

 

This term we will be looking at Great Britain but also The United Kingdom.

 

Great Britain = the whole of England, Scotland and Wales.

 

The United Kingdom, also called the U.K., consists of a group of islands off the northwest coast of Europe. It is a unique country made up of four nations: England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland
