This term we have been looking at Special Places. Starting with our own special places then looking at pictures of Christian churches and Islamic mosques. Ask your children if they can remember any of the features we talked about.
Below, please find other RE learning we have done throughout the year.
Muslim families all over the world will be celebrating the end of Ramadan with the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Although this year families will not be able to visit people from outside their homes, it will still be celebrated by eating special food, saying special prayers, giving gifts and wearing special clothes.
Here is a clip from Cbeebies to tell you more
This week Ramadan begins.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.
Here is a lovely story about Rameena's Ramadan
The story was written before our current situation, but many of the principles about sharing and community are even more important.
There are some activities you could do afterwards.
What did the children see at the beginning of the story?
Why were they called 'wise' and 'foolish'?
At the end of the story what would you have done if you were the child in the house on the rock?
What do you think the story means?
